SMS / TEXT MESSAGING PROGRAM.
42 inc. (“42,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a marketing technology and services company.

This page describes 42's SMS / text messaging program for authenticated users of the 42 platform (https://my.42.works). It is provided as a public reference for users, carriers, and SMS aggregators.

WHO CAN RECEIVE MESSAGES.
Only signed-in users of the 42 platform who have voluntarily saved a mobile phone number and ticked the SMS consent checkbox in their account preferences. There is no public sign-up form, no purchased lists, and no SMS sent to anyone who has not signed in and explicitly consented.
HOW USERS OPT IN.
SMS notifications are off by default. The consent checkbox is unchecked when a user first opens their notification preferences - no messages are ever sent unless the user actively ticks it themselves. Consent is never pre-selected, bundled, or required to use 42 inc. services.
To enable SMS, a user must:
1. Sign in at https://my.42.works
2. Open the account menu and click Preferences.
3. Read the consent statement next to the SMS checkbox.
3. Enter a mobile number in the Phone number field.
4. Manually tick the checkbox, which read: "Yes, I'd like to receive automated text messages from 42 inc. about my account, advertising campaigns, wallet, and organization membership. I understand I will receive typically fewer than 4 messages per month."
5. Click Save and enable SMS.
Until the user ticks the box, the button is labelled "Save" and saving has no effect on SMS. Only after the box is ticked does the button change to "Save and enable SMS", confirming the user's deliberate choice. We record a consent timestamp at the moment the box is ticked and saved. A user can revoke consent at any time by unticking the box and saving again, or by replying STOP to any message.
Default state: the checkbox is empty (unchecked) and the button reads "Save."

HOW USERS OPT OUT.
From any message, reply STOP. The user is immediately unsubscribed from all further 42 SMS and receives a confirmation.
From the platform, sign in, open Preferences, and either:
- Untick the SMS consent checkbox and click Save — revokes consent while keeping the phone number on file (useful if the user may want to opt back in later).
- Clear the phone number field and click Save — removes the number entirely.
Either action stops all SMS from the program. Opting out of SMS does not affect email or in-app notifications.
HOW USERS GET HELP.
Reply HELP to any message, or email support@42.works.
MESSAGE FREQUENCY.
Typically fewer than 4 messages per user per month. Frequency depends on the user's activity on the platform — users with no active campaigns may receive zero messages in a given month; users running active campaigns may receive a daily update.
Message and data rates may apply, depending on the user's carrier and plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
CATEGORIES OF MESSAGES AND SAMPLE COPY.
Each SMS opens with a brand prefix — either "42 x [Organization name]" for messages tied to a specific organization, or "42" for personal-account messages. Sample texts below use the brand "42 x Acme" and a sample campaign name "Summer launch".
Welcome message (one-time, sent on opt-in):
Welcome to 42! You have opted in to receive account-activity alerts. Msg frequency varies (under 4/month).
